Governance Innovation Lab
Across Asia-Pacific, dedicated public servants are working to improve healthcare access, reduce poverty, strengthen education, and build safer communities. But they face real challenges: limited capacity, siloed systems, political complexity, and tight budgets.
That's where GovLab comes in.
We don't just study government—we work inside it. Our professional fellows embed directly in agencies for 12-36 months, co-designing solutions alongside government teams. We bring research rigor, proven methodologies, and a commitment to outcomes that matter: healthier families, safer neighborhoods, better opportunities.
Our professional fellows embed directly in agencies as temporary staff—not external consultants. We sit in the meetings, understand the politics, and work alongside civil servants to implement real change.
Using Problem-Driven Iterative Adaptation (PDIA), we start with locally-defined challenges—not imported solutions. Every reform is co-created with the people who'll implement it, ensuring ownership and sustainability.
We focus relentlessly on what changes for residents: fewer families experiencing homelessness, faster access to healthcare, children staying in school. Everything we do is measured by the lives we improve.
